The Reviewers

They met in 2007 due to a dear mutual friend and a mutual obsession with all things Harry Potter and their love only continued to blossom through their continued His Dark Materials and The X Files geekisms and a deep true love for David Fincher, cinematic genius.  The Movie Challenge was only a natural progression.

They seek to watch every movie ever made and are voracious consumers of stories, both of print and cinema.  They are both creative beings set out to take over the world.

• James is 26, an avid artist, musician and writer with future career prospects which include graphic designer, computer artist and nobel peace prize winner. He offers a masculine perspective on the Movie Challenge and while often heard groaning when a so called girly movie category is drawn he also tends to get “dust”  in his eyes during touching  moments.

• Rachel is a 24 year old creative genius with aspirations of becoming the next big thing in children’s literature. She is the female side of the duo with strong ideas of the correct ways that women should be represented on film.  It is not uncommon for her to draw her reviewing partner into a deep philosophical “discussion” as the credits roll.  She tends to take things a little too seriously.
