  • Sister Act 2: A fun movie with some good songs and a heartwarming ending proves that it doesn’t have to be sex and violence to entertain.
  • Cruel Intentions: Depended far too much on the shock factor of outdated sexual references and lacks substance in storyline or acting ability.
  • Napoleon Dynamite: With a lack of a plot or strong characterisation I was left wondering why I should care about the cardboard characters in this overated cult phenomenon.
  • Fast Times at Ridgemont High: This movie has no protagonist which made the plot hard to follow.  A fun look at the same old teen problems with bad hairdo’s, clothes and lame jokes.
  • Mona Lisa Smile: A movie with a strong message about feminism and women in the 50’s told through the use of gorgeous costuming, fantastic acting and well paced plot that had me in tears at the beautiful ending.
  • Dead Poets Society: A moving depiction of life at a wealthy boys school where we are shown the importance of living amazing lives while we still can.  Will always be a classic.
  • Clueless: I found it amazing to see that the fashions of this film seem to be coming back.  An iconic teen movie with classic use of language to show the complexity of being a teenager while at the same time showing it’s not so bad afterall.
